Five berths reconstructed for corvettes in Baltiysk

MOSCOW. Oct 18 (Interfax) - Five berths have been redesigned for new Project 20380 corvettes in Baltiysk, commander of the 128th surface brigade of Russia's Baltic Fleet Roman Ashurov said.

"Reconstruction of five berths has been completed at Baltiysk's military post No. 25. The reconstruction of the town's waterfront and inshore area will ensure a safe base of the Baltic Fleet ships and vessels, including Project 20380 corvettes," Ashurov said on the unified military goods commissioning day.

In turn, commander of the Caspian Flotilla's special-forces detachment Dalgat Kaibov said that the construction of a training complex with a pool, water treatment system, cargo lift mechanism, stationary diving chamber, gas and air supply system, heliox station, and oxygen cylinder storage room was completed. The new complex will considerably improve the professional training of navy underwater divers, he said.
