Russia wants constructive dialogue with N. Korea - Matviyenko

MOSCOW. Oct 21 (Interfax) - Russia intends to strengthen cooperation with North Korea in various spheres, Russian Federation Council Speaker Valentina Matviyenko said.

"We believe that your arrival in Russia indicates the North Korean administration's serious commitment to further cooperation with Russia. For my part, I want to emphasize that our country has the same commitment to continue constructive dialogue and close cooperation for the good of our countries and our peoples," Matviyenko said at a meeting with Chairman of the Supreme People's Assembly of North Korea Pak Thae Song.

Matviyenko said she hopes the North Korean delegation's visit to Russia will not only help strengthen parliamentary interaction between the two countries but will also help broaden Moscow-Pyongyang cooperation in various spheres.
