Putin, Netanyahu address pardoning Israeli woman convicted in Russia in Monday call - Ushakov

MOSCOW. Oct 21 (Interfax) - The pardoning of Israeli citizen Naama Issachar, who was convicted in Russia for transporting nine grams of hashish in her luggage while travelling from India, was discussed during a telephone call between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Russian presidential aide Yury Ushakov said.

"This matter is in the public eye, and it was addressed to varying degrees, yes," Ushakov told journalists on Monday when asked whether the Israeli woman's pardon was discussed during the leaders' telephone call on Monday.
