Kremlin warns against any steps that could jeopardize Syria settlement ahead of Constitutional Committee's first meeting

MOSCOW. Oct 21 (Interfax) - The Kremlin has warned against any actions that could hinder the Syria settlement process ahead of the first session of the Syrian Constitutional Committee.

"What's particularly important, and we have repeatedly emphasized this, is there should be no actions or steps that could harm the settlement of the Syria crisis or the promotion of the political process," Russian presidential aide Yury Ushakov told reporters.

"This is particularly important these days, these weeks given the fact that the first session of the Constitutional Committee is due to be held in late October," Ushakov said.

"The Constitutional Committee has already been composed, and now the main thing is creating such an environment that would not impede the holding of the first session," he said.

"The leaders will discuss this tomorrow," Ushakov said.
