BAKU. Oct 22 (Interfax) -Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro is expected to attend the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) summit in Baku on October 25-26, Azerbaijani Deputy Foreign Minister Ramiz Hasanov said at a press briefing on Tuesday.
"We are expecting Maduro to take part in the summit," Hasanov said.
Around 60 presidents and prime ministers plan to arrive in Baku for the summit, he said.
As many as 158 countries have confirmed their attendance at the NAM summit, Hasanov said. A total of 246 local and foreign journalists have been accredited to cover the event.
Hasanov additionally said that the participants are expected to adopt four documents at the Baku summit, during which Azerbaijan will also take over the NAM chairmanship from Venezuela.
