SOCHI. Oct 23 (Interfax) - It is necessary to launch an extensive dialogue between the Syrian government and the Kurds, who live in northern Syria; the rights and interests of the Kurdish people will be taken into account as part of this kind of talks, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.
"A broad dialogue should be launched between the Syrian government and the Kurds, who live in northeastern Syria. Obviously, precisely as part of this inclusive dialogue, all the rights and interests of the Kurdish people, and the Kurds as an integral part of the multiethnic Syrian people can be fully counted and realized," Putin said at a press conference following the talks with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
