SOCHI. Oct 23 (Interfax) - YPG fighters will go 30 kilometers inside Syria's territory within 150 hours, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said.
"All YPG terrorists and heavy weapons will be withdrawn 30 kilometers inside [Syria's territory] and their positions and fortifications will be eliminated," Erdogan said after the Russia-Turkish negotiations in Sochi.
Turkey and Russia will jointly be patrolling a 10-kilometer deep strip along the Syrian-Turkish border, he said. "All YPG terrorists will be withdrawn from this territory," he said.
"Both states will be taking all necessary measures to prevent terrorists from getting there," Erdogan said.
Turkey and Russia will be tightly coordinating their efforts, he said. "Both Turkey and Russia will continue investing effort to achieve political settlement in Syria," Erdogan said.
