MOSCOW. Oct 24 (Interfax) - U.S. citizen Paul Whelan, accused by Russia of espionage, claims that the court disregarded the evidence provided by him that his rights were violated at the detention facility.
Addressing the judge at a session of Moscow's Lefortovsky Court on Thursday, Whelan asked the judge to recuse himself from the case, because Whelan claims the judge ignored the information provided by him.
Whelan said that the evidence presented by him has been disregarded.
