Agreement on Kurdish withdrawal from Syrian-Turkish border area does not apply to civilian population - Vershinin

MOSCOW. Oct 24 (Interfax) - The agreement on the Kurdish withdrawal from the Syrian-Turkish border area does not apply to the civilian population, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Vershinin told Interfax on Thursday.

"It clearly says it does not apply to the civilian population," Vershinin said in response to the question whether the Kurdish withdrawal included the civilian population.

Vershinin said "I don't know" to the question how many Kurds were being withdrawn from the border area.
