MOSCOW. Oct 24 (Interfax) - The Russian military is participating in the withdrawal of the Kurdish People's Protection Units from the Syrian-Turkish border, the Russian Defense Ministry said.
"Russian military police are providing aid to ensure the security of local residents and maintain law and order, and are carrying out patrol missions in designated areas and facilitating the withdrawal of Kurdish People's Protection Units and their weaponry 30 kilometers from the Syrian-Turkish border," the ministry said in a statement on Thursday.
