Lavrov, Cavusoglu discuss implementation of memorandum signed at latest Putin-Erdogan meeting

MOSCOW. Oct 24 (Interfax) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov had a telephone conversation with Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu on Thursday, the Russian Foreign Ministry said.

"The ministers discussed the course of the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding signed following the meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Sochi on October 22," the ministry said in a statement on its website on Thursday.

The two ministers "agreed to continue coordination of efforts aimed at swift stabilization of the situation in northeastern Syria," it said.
