OMSK. Oct 25 (Interfax) - Foreign security services are planning massive cyberattacks on Russia's information infrastructure, Russian Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev said at a meeting with heads of regions of the Siberian Federal District.
"Foreign security services are intentionally searching for vulnerabilities in the Russian information infrastructure for the purpose of massive cyberattacks," Patrushev said.
"Elements of critical infrastructure of the Russian Federation remain primary targets of the attacks, which creates real threats to national security," he said.
The number of violations of information security requirements remains high, primarily in such important spheres as transport and energy, Patrushev said.
"The shift of these spheres to domestic software has not been effective enough," he said.
