MOSCOW. Oct 25 (Interfax) - A soldier has shot and killed eight fellow servicemen and injured two more in the Transbaikal Territory, the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement seen by Interfax on Friday.
"A soldier of a maintenance base stationed in the Chita region fired a service-issue weapon at fellow servicemen during the change of guard at about 6:20 p.m. on October 25, 2019. As a result, eight servicemen died instantly and two more sustained injuries of various degrees of severity," the statement said.
