Lavrov to attend Astana-format ministerial meeting in Geneva ahead of first session of Syrian Constitutional Committee

MOSCOW. Oct 28 (Interfax) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov will head to Geneva on October 29 to hold talks with his counterparts from Turkey and Iran ahead of the first session of the Syrian Constitutional Committee, the Russian Foreign Ministry said.

"Lavrov will visit Geneva on October 29 to take part in the ministerial meeting in the Astana format and will talk with the United Nations secretary-general's special representative for Syria together with the Turkish and Iranian foreign ministers ahead of the first session of the Constitutional Committee on October 30," the ministry told journalists in a statement on Monday.
