HMEIMIM. Oct 29 (Interfax) - The Russian military police are continuing to carry out patrolling missions along the Syrian-Turkish border in line with the Russian-Turkish memorandum on mutual understanding, while Kurdish units are withdrawing from these areas, head of the Russian Center for Reconciliation of Opposing Sides in Syria Maj. Gen. Alexei Bakin said at a press briefing on Monday.
"Military police officers of the Russian Armed Forces are continuing to pursue tasks to help ensure security of local residents and maintain law and order, and undertake patrolling missions in designated areas, as well as aid the withdrawal of the Kurdish People's Protection Units and their weaponry at a distance of 30 kilometers from the Syrian-Turkish border. The Kurdish People's Protection Units are continuing the withdrawal," Bakin said.
On October 28, Russian military police units accomplished patrolling missions along the following routes: Karakozak-Kobane-Koran and back; Qamishli-Fakira; Qamishli-Simalka, he said.
