DONETSK. Oct 29 (Interfax) - One militiaman was killed in an attack mounted by the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the village of Zaitseve near Horlivka, a spokesman for the militia of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) told reporters.
The Ukrainian army used large-caliber machineguns and small arms in that attack, he said.
"A defender of the republic suffered a fatal wound as a result of the attack," the militia spokesman said.
DPR Emergency Situations Ministry rescuers are having only limited access to the area at the moment due to continuing gunfire, he said, adding that reports on possible civilian casualties are being verified.
