GYUMRI (Armenia). Oct 29 (Interfax) - Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu has arrived in Armenia on a visit, which will include an inspection of Russia's military base in Gyumri and talks with Armenian Defense Minister David Tonoyan.
"During the trip, the defense minister will inspect the 102nd Russian military base where he will hear the base commander's report detailing the implementation of the plan of military training and the equipment of social facilities," Shoigu's press secretary Rossiyana Markovskaya told reporters.
At upcoming talks with the Armenian defense minister in Yerevan, "the sides will discuss military and military-technical cooperation," she said.
"The defense minister of the Russian Federation is also expected to be received by the top political leadership of Armenia," Markovskaya said.
