VLADIVOSTOK. Oct 31 (Interfax) - The launch of two projectiles by North Korea on Thursday has had no effect on radiation levels in the Primorye Territory, the only Russian region bordering North Korea.
Radiation levels are normal and currently amount to 12 micro-Roentgens per hour in Primorye, a statement posted on the website of the Primorye hydro-meteorological service said. The information is updated on an hourly basis.
The South Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff confirmed the launch of two North Korean projectiles on Thursday, the news agency Yonhap said.
The projectiles were fired from an area of the South Pyongan Province in the afternoon, the report said, without specifying the type and characteristics of the projectiles.
