Delegation of military attaches from 55 states concludes trip to Russia's Pacific Fleet

VLADIVOSTOK. Oct 31 (Interfax) - A delegation of military attaches from foreign embassies accredited in Russia completed its visit to the Russian Pacific Fleet in Vladivostok on Thursday, the fleet's press service said in a statement.

"The delegation has departed for Moscow. During their two-day working visit, 100 military diplomats who represent 55 countries met with representatives of the Pacific Fleet command and visited the large anti-submarine ship Admiral Tributs, the corvette Sovershenny, and the diesel-powered submarine Komsomolsk-on-Amur of the Primorye flotilla of the all-arms forces," the statement said.

At the Gornostai coastal training range, the guests were show samples of weapons in service in the fleet's Coast Guard Forces, watched demonstration maneuvers performed by the fleet's marines, and were given an opportunity to shoot the marines' weapons.

The military diplomats additionally visited the Pacific Fleet's museum and the S-56 submarine museum.

The delegation of foreign military attaches arrived in Vladivostok on Tuesday as part of the Russian Defense Ministry's international military cooperation plan.
