KYIV. Nov 5 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian side has informed the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) of its readiness to begin the disengagement of forces and military hardware in the Bohdanivka-Petrivske sector along the disengagement line on condition of observing a seven-day ceasefire, Commander of the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) Volodymyr Kravchenko said.
"We have already presented a letter to the OSCE, we will begin on the 7th [of November], and we will practically carry out the disengagement on the 8th [of November]. If there are no violations of the regime of silence," Kravchenko said at a press briefing in Kramatorsk on Monday.
As the latest shell attacks have been recorded in this sector on October 30, should a seven-day period without any attacks be observed, the verification of the regime of silence is to be undertaken on November 7, and the Armed Forces will be able to begin carrying out practical measures to disengage the forces and military hardware starting from noon on November 8, the Ukrainian head of the Joint Center for Control and Coordination (JCCC), Col. Oleksandr Borshchevsky said.
