DPR accepts Sajdik's proposal to discuss disengagement of forces in Petrivske at TCG videoconference on Nov 8

DONETSK. Nov 6 (Interfax) - Donetsk agreed to hold a video conference of the Trilateral Contact Group (TCG) on the disengagement in Petrivske on November 8, Foreign Minister of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) Natalia Nikonorova told reporters.

"Special Envoy of the OSCE chairperson-in-office to the Contact Group Ambassador Martin Sajdik responded to our initiative to convene an extraordinary meeting of the Contact Group in the mode of a videoconference. As for some technical reasons the coordinator will be unable to get into video contact in the next few days proposed by us, he asked all participants of the Contact Group to consider the possibility of the meeting on November 8, and we accept this proposal," Nikonorova said.

DPR representatives are unaware of the Ukrainian side's response to Mr. Sajdik's suggestion, she said.

"However, if the Kyiv authorities demonstrate a constructive approach, the Contact Group may hold its meeting dealing with the determination of a new, jointly approved date of the beginning of practical measures to remove violations in the sector in the area of the populated locality of Petrivske already at 11:30 a.m. Moscow time (10:30 a.m. EET) on November 8," the DPR foreign minister said.

"If the Contact Group holds a successful meeting, the DPR people's militia forces will be ready to start the practical resumed disengagement already on the next day at 1 p.m. Moscow time (noon EET) on November 9 in line with the schedule jointly approved a month ago, if this date is backed by all participants of the meeting," she said.

The republic is waiting for the Ukrainian envoy's consent to attend a TCG extraordinary meeting and for a consensus-based decision on the date of the start of practical measures, Nikonorova said.
