MOSCOW. Nov 8 (Interfax) - The orbit of the International Space Station (ISS) was adjusted in the early hours of November 8 for docking with the cargo ship progress MS-13, the Central Research Institute of Machine-Building (TsNIIMash), the head institute of Roscosmos, told Interfax on Friday.
"The orbit was adjusted at 01:40 a.m. Moscow time," the institute said.
As a result of the maneuver, the average orbit altitude of the ISS increased by some 800 meters to 416.6 km.
The adjustment was needed to take off the order the cargo ship Progress MS-12 and for docking with the cargo ship Progress MS-13, whose launch is scheduled for December 1, 2019. It will take to the ISS food, water, oxygen, fuel and equipment needed for the scientific program.
