MOSCOW. Nov 8 (Interfax) - Moscow and Jakarta intend to sign an agreement on cooperation in information security in 2020, the press service of the Russian Security Council told Interfax in a statement.
Cooperation in information security was on the agenda of recent bilateral interagency consultations in Indonesia, the statement said.
"During the consultations, the sides confirmed their plans to sign an agreement in 2020 between the government of Russia and the government of Indonesia on cooperation in ensuring international information security," it said.
Russian Security Council Deputy Secretary Oleg Khramov headed Moscow's delegation to the consultations. Indonesia's delegation was led by National Cyber and Encryption Agency deputy chief Dharma Pongrekun.
The sides also discussed their joint response to threats in this field, efforts to form an information security culture, the crackdown on radicalism on the Internet, and information sharing between the countries.
