MOSCOW. Nov 11 (Interfax) - A Russian inspection team will visit a military site in Norway consistent with the 2011 Vienna Document, the Russian Defense Ministry's newspaper Krasnaya Zvezda reported on Monday.
"Consistent with the 2011 Vienna Document on confidence building and security measures, a Russian inspection team will visit a military site of the Norwegian Armed Forces on November 12," the newspaper said.
According to head of the National Nuclear Threat Reduction Center Sergei Ryzhkov, the inspectors will visit the Norwegian military site at its peace-time location.
The Russian experts will be briefed by the Norwegian command about the site's personnel and main types of weapons and hardware, the newspaper said.
The 2011 Vienna Document envisages a broad exchange of information about military forces, defense planning, and defense budgets. OSCE member states exchange information about certain types of military activity and inspection teams. The document aims to build security and confidence between 57 states of Europe, Asia, and America aligned with the OSCE.
