MOSCOW. Nov 11 (Interfax) - Russian and Turkish servicemen are patrolling a new area of the Syrian-Turkish border on a route of about 80 kilometers in length, the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement.
"The fourth joint patrol of the Russian military police and the Turkish border service began in a new border area, 70 kilometers west of Qamishli, at 12:10 p.m. on November 11, 2019," the statement said.
"The joint patrol will follow a new route, which begins at the Sheirek checkpoint and at first goes west, then turns east along the Syrian-Turkish border. The total length of the patrol route is about 80 kilometers," it said.
