Talks on Normandy Four summit date well under way at working level - German govt

BERLIN. Nov 13 (Interfax) - There is still no date for a Normandy Four summit, but the plans for holding a meeting in Paris are still valid, German government spokesman Steffen Seibert said.

"I cannot give you the dates, talks at the working level are well under way," Seibert said, answering a question from Interfax at a press conference on Wednesday.

The telephone call between German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday focused on the topic of the summit, he said.

"We still want to hold the meeting in the near future," Seibert said.

When asked what is hindering the meeting, he said, "I won't get into the details of preparations."

The meeting "is planned for in Paris," Seibert said.

He said the German government commends the process of the disengagement of forces in eastern Ukraine.

The Normandy format for Ukrainian settlement comprises Ukraine, Russia, Germany, and France.
