MOSCOW. Nov 13 (Interfax) - The information and analytical system designed to collect the data to gauge the state of national security and expose crises has been worked out in Russia, the press service of the Russian Security Council staff said.
Secretary of the Russian Security Council Nikolai Patrushev chaired a meeting of the Security Council interagency commission dealing with the problems of strategic planning, at which measures seeking the improvement of the state monitoring system for the state of national security were discussed, the press service said.
"It was emphasized that our country has created an information and analytical system, which is designed to provide for the collection of data to assess the state of national security and uncover negative tendencies and critical situations in advance," the press service said.
This monitoring is required for the rapid decision-making to tackle any changes in the foreign and domestic situation, it said.
Meanwhile, participants stressed the need of updating the methods of evaluating the state of national security, as well as the provision of monitoring at the level of federal constituents.
"They underlined the importance of ensuring the interrelation between the monitoring of the state of national security and the monitoring of the social and economic development of our country," the Security Council said.
Commission members discussed the modelling of development of critical situations, specifically using the AI technology, the press service said.
"Experts of the Security Council believe that the elaboration and introduction of indicative planning instruments will allow for evaluating the levels of attaining strategic goals at all stages and at various levels of strategic planning," the statement said.
A common digital, information and analytical support platform for public management and strategic planning in the country should become a tool providing the access to statistical and other data, the Security Council said. It will allow for combining information resources of the federal executive authorities based on situation centers, specifically those, whose development is implied under the national program on the Russian digital economy.
