NOVOSIBIRSK. Nov 14 (Interfax) - Operational and investigative actions have been taken at the Scientific Research Institute of Electronic Devices (NIIEP, a structure of Tecmash, the state corporation Rostec) in Novosibirsk.
The company's managing director has been detained.
"We confirm that managing director Amir Alyamov has been detained. Investigative actions have been taken at the enterprise," the NIIEP press service told Interfax.
The company is currently operating as usual and an acting head will be appointed, the press service said.
According to the enterprise's website, NIIEP is a leading Russian enterprise creating short-range radar systems in the electromagnetic range from decimeter to optical. It additionally develops and produces onboard computers and automation components for various weapons systems and military hardware, from weapons of mass destruction to high-precision and torpedo weapons.
