Lavrov, Sullivan discuss on G20 sidelines addressing concerns in Russian-U.S. relations

NAGOYA. Nov 25 (Interfax) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said he has discussed with United States Deputy Secretary of State John Sullivan at a meeting on the G20 sidelines in Japan the ways to address concerns in relations between Russia and the U.S.

"We know that John Sullivan is going through the approval process as the U.S. ambassador to Russia and we discussed how we should address numerous issues existing in our relations," Lavrov told journalists in Nagoya.

Sullivan headed the U.S. delegation at talks on strategic stability with Russia, the minister said.

According to Lavrov, he also discussed the role of the Group of Twenty in international relations with the U.S. diplomat.

"We reiterated our support to this entity, it meets the interests of all parties and serves as a good venue for the achievement of mutually acceptable agreements," Lavrov said.
