Roscosmos tracks progress in Vostochny construction with own satellites, drones - Rogozin

MOSCOW. Nov 25 (Interfax) - Roscosmos is using its own satellites to track progress in the construction of the second phase of the Vostochny cosmodrome, the state corporation's chief Dmitry Rogozin said at a meeting with President Vladimir Putin on Saturday.

"For objective control, we decided to use the technologies Roscosmos has: our orbital remote sensing grouping," Rogozin said.

Images are taken to register what happened during the week, to make the process evident, after which "the information is mathematically processed and markers show any changes: the scope of work, the amount of equipment and even of people."

To get more detailed information, Roscosmos conducts additional aerial imagery with drones. "We believe that it contains all objective information on what is happening there," Rogozin said.
