KYIV. Nov 28 (Interfax) - Ukrainian Foreign Minister Vadym Prystaiko has reacted to Apple's decision to show Crimea and Sevastopol as part of Russian territory on its apps.
"iPhones are great products. Seriously, though, Apple, please, please, stick to high-tech and entertainment. Global politics is not your strong side," Prystaiko wrote on Twitter.
"Let me explain in your terms, Apple. Imagine you're crying out that your design and ideas, years of work and piece of your heart are stolen by your worst enemy but then somebody ignorant doesn't give a damn about your pain. That's how it feels when you call Crimea a Russian land," he said.
Apple representatives said earlier at a meeting with Chairman of the Russian State Duma's Security and Anti-Corruption Committee Vasily Piskaryov that changes had been made to the way Crimea is displayed on the company's apps.
