YEKATERINBURG. Dec 2 (Interfax) - Officials from the defense ministries of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) will gather in Yekaterinburg in mid-December to attend an organization and mobilization seminar, the Central Military District press service said in a statement on Monday.
"Representatives of the general staffs of the CSTO countries, which, apart from Russia, also include Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan, have been invited to the event. Military delegations from Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan are expected to take part in the seminar, as well," the statement said.
The event will be held under the supervision of Central Military District Commander Col. Gen. Alexander Lapin.
The participants will discuss modern combat experience from military conflicts of the past several years and its use in combat training programs, including joint events for promoting security in the Central Asian region.
