NUR-SULTAN. Dec 11 (Interfax) - A meeting of the Syrian Constitutional Committee, which may take place in Geneva in January, is being discussed with representatives of the Syrian government and the opposition, UN Special Envoy for Syria Geir Pedersen told Interfax on Wednesday.
Consensus has yet to be reached, Pedersen said. He said he was hopeful that proposals to be made by the Committee co-chairs representing the government and the opposition can help reach an understanding.
The meeting date will be coordinated after that; the Committee may meet in January, Pedersen said.
