Very many people involved in terrorist attacks are hiding in Europe - Peskov

MOSCOW. Dec 12 (Interfax) - Many people accused of terrorist attacks and mass killings during the tragic events in the Northern Caucasus are still hiding in Europe, moreover, they are receiving shelter there, the Kremlin said.

"Very many people who are involved in terrorist attacks, in the organization of terrorist attacks, and in killings during the bloody events in the Caucasus are still hiding in the countries of Europe. They receive residence permits and citizenships. They walk among ordinary people on the streets in broad daylight," Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said, responding to a question from journalists as to why Russia has only now announced that Zelimkhan Khangoshvili, who was shot and killed in Berlin, was involved in terrorist attacks.

"Investigative actions are being taken on many of them for their extradition to the Russian Federation. It's absolutely normal practice," he said.
