TBILISI. Dec 12 (Interfax) - One militant was detained and another nine eliminated after a terrorist attack on Bagram Airfield in Afghanistan during a coalition forces operation involving Georgian troops, the Georgian Defense Ministry said in a statement on Thursday.
According to the agency's information, the terrorists were eliminated after the Georgian rapid reaction troops "encircled them at a local point."
"The situation at the air base is fully under control at this point," the statement said.
There are no casualties among the Georgian troops, it said.
Five Georgian troops sustained light injuries during a terrorist attack on Bagram Airfield in Afghanistan on Wednesday. According to the ministry, they did not need hospitalization.
According to earlier reports, the Taliban (banned in Russia) claimed responsibility for the terrorist attack.
