MOSCOW. Dec 13 (Interfax) - Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov has commented on the statement of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, who said he was ready to shake Russian President Vladimir Putin's hand if Kyiv regained Crimea and Donbas.
"As regards Crimea, he'd do better to shake Putin's hand without bringing up the Crimea question. That's for sure," Peskov told the press on Friday.
"As for Donbas, we've already said that he should fulfill the Minsk Agreements instead of shaking Putin's hand. In that case, everyone will shake everybody else's hand and congratulate the Ukrainians on settling their domestic conflict," Peskov said.
Zelensky said on Thursday he would shake the Russian president's hand many times if Ukraine gets "occupied Donbas" back and would be ready for even more handshakes after the return of Crimea.
