MOSCOW. Dec 13 (Interfax) - Russia will properly implement the United Nations resolution stipulating that it must deport North Korean workers home before December 22, Russian Foreign Ministry Department of International Organizations (DIO) Director Pyotr Ilyichyov said.
"Of course, we always implement all resolutions on time," Ilyichyov told journalists in response to a pertinant question from Interfax on Friday.
Asked whether this means that all North Korean workers will leave Russia before December 22, he replied: "Yes, the process is underway."
The Foreign Ministry does not keep count of the number of such workers present in Russia and therefore cannot say how many are still in the country, Ilyichyov said.
"It's the Interior Ministry that should be asked about this. But there aren't as many of them as it might seem," he said.
