MOSCOW. Jan 29 (Interfax) - Andrei Shchirov, former head of the department for control over drug turnover of the interior affairs department of the Moscow Western Administrative District, was questioned in connection with the so-called Golunov case on Wednesday, an informed source told Interfax.
He remains a witness in the case, the source said.
"Shchirov was questioned by an investigator and he made a testimony. In particular, he said he did not know about his subordinates' actions during Golunov's detention last June," it said.
Shchirov now remains a witness in the case, the source said.
The source additionally said that the five former police officers detained in connection with the case do not admit their guilt.
