First Russian plane arrives in China's Wuhan, medics to examine evacuees before departure - Russian Defense Ministry

MOSCOW. Feb 4 (Interfax) - The first Russian military transport aircraft has arrived in the Chinese city of Wuhan to evacuate Russian citizens; military doctors will carry out initial examinations of the evacuees before departure, the Russian Defense Ministry said.

"The first Russian Aerospace Forces plane has landed at the Wuhan airport in the People's Republic of China. The flight from an airfield in the Eastern Military District took about four hours," the Defense Ministry said in a statement seen by Interfax on Tuesday.

"Russian military medics and Defense Ministry virology specialists wearing special protective suits will carry out initial examinations of all Russian citizens to be evacuated using contactless thermometers at the Wuhan airport," the ministry said.
