MOSCOW. Feb 10 (Interfax) - The small missile ship Mytishchi will conduct an artillery live-fire exercise in the Baltic Sea, the Russian Defense Ministry said.
"While carrying out the second special training 'Navigation and waging of a battle by one ship' in the Baltic Sea, the crew of the small missile ship Mytishchi of the Baltic Fleet will practice elements of a naval battle, which will include firing artillery weapons on surface targets at maritime training ranges of the Baltic Fleet," the ministry said.
The crew will fire AK-630 and A-190 onboard artillery systems on airborne and seaborne targets, will practice destroying sea mines, anti-sabotage defense, and radioelectronic jamming, it said.
The Mytishchi, which is the lead ship of Project 22800, joined the Baltic Fleet on December 17, 2018. Its main weapon is the 3S14 launching system equipped with eight Kalibr-NK and/or Oniks cruise missiles.
