Russia, Turkey can jointly achieve results in Syria as long as no hasty decisions made - Russian Defense Ministry

MOSCOW. Feb 12 (Interfax) - Russia and Turkey can jointly reach positive results in Syria provided that no uncoordinated and hasty decisions are made, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Wednesday.

"The top priority for Russia and Turkey in Syria has been and remains the elimination of international terrorist groups which have entrenched themselves there in order to restore peaceful life for Syrians," the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement made available to Interfax on Wednesday.

"We are convinced that by not succumbing to provocations of terrorists and avoiding uncoordinated and hasty decisions, this mission pursued by Russia and Turkey will be successfully implemented," the statement said.
