BELGRADE. Feb 17 (Interfax) - Serbian military personnel will take part in the Moscow Conference on International Security, the Army 2020 military-technical forum, and the International Army Games this year, Serbian Defense Minister Aleksandar Vulin said.
"I'd like to thank you for the invitation to the Moscow Conference on International Security. We have Army Day at this time, but I'll definitely come for one day," Vulin said at a meeting with Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu in Belgrade on Monday.
Serbian servicemen will also take part in the International Army Games in 2020, Vulin said.
"I sincerely hope we have better results in the tank biathlon event this year. We didn't make it to the final last year, and I hope we at least reach the final this year," he said.
"We will also take part in the Army 2020 forum, as per tradition," Vulin said.
Shoigu said Russia will do its utmost to maintain intensive military cooperation with Serbia, which has reached a fundamentally new level.
"Interaction between the Russian and Serbian defense agencies has reached a fundamentally new level. We will employ every opportunity to maintain the pace our relations in the military field are developing at," Shoigu said.
He thanked Vulin for his contribution to the development of military cooperation between the two countries.
"We just cannot fail to take note of the substantial work your republic's leadership and you personally have done over the past several years to improve your country's security system and enhance its defense capability," Shoigu said.
