MOSCOW. Feb 19 (Interfax) - Russian military police together with Russian army aviation have carried out patrols in northern Syria, head of the Russian Center for Reconciliation of Opposing Sides in Syria Rear Adm. Oleg Zhuralyov said at a press briefing.
"All operations associated with the patrol of the designated routes were carried out in accordance with approved plans, without incident," Zhuralyov said.
Patrols are continuing under the Russian-Turkish memorandum of understanding, dated October 22, 2019, he said.
However, Zhuravlyov did not say whether Turkish units had participated in the patrols on Tuesday.
Zhuravlyov told a press briefing on Monday that the Turkish military had joined in on patrolling conducted jointly with Russian military police in Syria.
