MOSCOW. March 4 (Interfax) - The response of the United States and NATO to the Russian idea of moratorium on the deployment of intermediate- and shorter-range missiles has so far been negative and may require Russia's military-technical response in the near future, Director of the Russian Foreign Ministry's Non-Proliferation and Arms Control Department Vladimir Yermakov said.
"Unfortunately, the reaction of Washington and other NATO member states has been negative so far, and they are not ready to accept the Russian offer," Yermakov said at a press conference on Wednesday.
"This is a disquieting situation that may require an additional political or even military-technical response in the future," he said.
