MOSCOW. April 6 (Interfax) - The Russian Aerospace Forces have finished airlifting Russian military specialists, equipment, and hardware to Serbia as part of efforts to help this country counter Covid-19, the press service of the Russian Defense Ministry said.
"For this end, [Ilyushin] Il-76 military-transport planes of the Russian Aerospace Forces performed a total of 11 flights from the Chkalovsky airfield (Moscow region) to the Batajnica airfield, located 20 kilometers north-west of the city of Belgrade (Republic of Serbia)," it said on Saturday.
The planes transported 87 Russian Defense Ministry personnel to Serbia, including military doctors, virologists from the radiation, chemical and biological defense forces, and also special-purpose medical equipment, protective gear, and 16 units of military hardware
