MOSCOW. April 9 (Interfax) - Moscow has not withdrawn the invitations sent to global heads of state in connection with the Victory Day Parade of May 9, but will take any decisions on their part with understanding, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said, noting that no decision to cancel the parade has been made so far.
"We have not revoked the invitations. Naturally, the ongoing situation is having an impact, and we will take any decisions made by foreign partners with understanding. Yet again, there has been no decision to cancel as of this moment," Peskov told the press on Thursday.
The invitations were sent earlier, and there is no concrete information for now whether any of the invited heads of state have decided against visiting Moscow amid the coronavirus pandemic, he said.
As to whether Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has been invited, Peskov said he has no such information and promised to find out.
