MOSCOW. April 14 (Interfax) - The epidemiological situation in the Russian Armed Forces is stable amid the coronavirus pandemic, the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement seen by Interfax on Tuesday.
"The epidemiological situation in the Armed Forces remains stable and completely controllable," the statement said.
"All personnel of the Russian Armed Forces are obligated to be examined by doctors and undergo temperature checks when they report for work. Any servicemen suspected of being sick are immediately sent to medical institutions for testing. More than 11,000 tests on servicemen have been carried out by now," the statement said.
The Kommersant newspaper said on Tuesday that three Russian servicemen had tested positive for coronavirus as of March 30, and at least 133 people were under observation as contacts of the patients.
