Black Sea Fleet's repaired flagship Moskva to re-enter service by V-Day - media

MOSCOW. April 15 (Interfax) - The missile guided cruiser Moskva, the Black Sea Fleet flagship which has been in repair since 2018, will return to active service by May 9 of this year, the Izvestia newspaper reported on Tuesday, citing a source in the Russian Defense Ministry.

"In their telling, the ship is expected to return to service as early as the Victory Day, May 9," the publication said, noting that the ship has been in dry docks since 2018.

"In June last year it briefly went out into the sea for a comprehensive test of mechanisms. The ship's main propulsion unit setup is being completed and work is carried out on full restoration of its readiness for deployment," the article said.

Experts polled by the newspaper said that after the repair the cruiser will serve several more years.
