MOSCOW. April 27 (Interfax) - Russian servicemen have disinfected 8,500 facilities in the Far Eastern Federal District in order to counter the coronavirus spread, the press service of the Russian Eastern Military District said.
"Radiation, chemical and biological protection units of the Eastern Military District have disinfected over 8,500 facilities in the Sakhalin, Amur and Jewish Autonomous regions, the Kamchatka, Khabarovsk and Transbaikal territories and the Republic of Buryatia," the press service said in a statement.
Defense industry facilities in the Khabarovsk and Primorye territories, including the Far Eastern Aviation Service Center in Khabarovsk have undergone disinfection, it said.
"The total area of disinfected facilities exceeds 2.2 million square meters. Facilities in military towns of the Eastern Military District, roads and other facilities were disinfected," it said.
