MOSCOW. April 27 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin has not asked for his image to be removed from the unfinished main church of the Russian Armed Forces, but has expressed his opinion on the matter, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.
"No, he hasn't asked for that, although he has expressed his opinion," Peskov said in response to a question from the Govorit Moskva radio station.
The media said last week that Putin's image has been depicted in a church fresco.
Peskov told the press earlier when commenting on the president's attitude to this that Putin deems the depiction of his image in the church premature.
